Common Aptitude Test Syllabus

The Common Aptitude Test is an assessment to check a candidate’s basic aptitude of High School Mathematics and English proficiency. Many company's recruitment Process uses AMCAT Assessment for the aptitude test. This Aptitude test is the elimination round. 

Many Aptitude Test is divided into four sections

  1. Quantitative Aptitude
  2. Logical Reasoning
  3. Verbal Ability
  4. Programming Skills

1. Quantitative Aptitude

Quantitative Aptitude Test topics are given here, these topics are the basic topics that are taught in school. My suggestions to gain practice by giving Mock Tests online or offline with books.

This part of the test consists of questions based on basic aptitude topics such as profit, loss and percentages, Time & Work, Speed & Distance, AP, GP, Geometry, Mensuration etc. The section difficulty level varies from easy to moderate. Given below are the topics to be covered for the test:

2. Logical Reasoning

A candidate's thinking and reasoning skills are tested in this section. The difficulty of this section is from medium to high. This section can be a time-consuming section so manage time effectively.

The most common questions come from puzzles, seating arrangements, data sufficiency, and syllogism. It is important to keep focus while solving this section of Logical Reasoning

Aptitude Test Pattern for the Logical Reasoning Section analyses the reasoning skills of the candidate. The section consists of data interpretation and logical reasoning questions. Questions are based on topics such as charts, graphs, bars, and some puzzles. In general, the difficulty level varies from easy to moderate.

3. Verbal Ability

A candidate’s English skills are tested in this section. The difficulty of this section is from medium to high. This section can be a time-consuming section so manage time effectively.

The most common questions come from Grammar, Vocabulary and Sentence Improvements.

4. Computer Programming Skills

Computer Programming section consists of Basic Programming, Data Structure, and OOPS. This section is easy to crack if you are proficient in your basic Programming knowledge. Given below are the topics to be covered for the test.
